Impressions and photos of a holiday in California with a detour to the Grand Canyon

California - Day 6

Eureka via Lassen to Lake Tahoe

After checking out from our hotel in Eureka we had a last glimpse of the ocean before turning east owards Lake Tahoe. It was a day with a lot of distance to travel, but as we passed through Lassen Volcanic park we slowed down to enjoy some beautiful views and to play in the snow.

This was a long day because we "lost" a lot of time looking around in the Lassen Volcanic Park. It was dark before we reached Lake Tahoe, but that didn't matter because we would spend two nights in South Tahoe town and tomorrow we have the entire day to visit the area surrounding Lake Tahoe. Goto Day 7.
